Our water is geothermal seawater, born in a place unlike anywhere else on Earth. It’s shaped by time and pressure in a quiet collision of heat and time, water and earth. Rich in microalgae, silica, and minerals, the Blue Lagoon water is a phenomenal natural resource.

It begins its life as seawater, surrounded by the darkness 2,000 meters within Iceland’s bedrock. Through a unique process where heat, pressure, and freshwater mix with the seawater, a new kind of water is born, which extracts minerals and silica from the surrounding rock. As the water journeys upwards and reaches the surface, it encounters and truly unique species of blue-green microalgae (coccoid algae and filamentous algae).

This geothermal seawater is 70% ocean water and 30% freshwater, enriched with silica, algae, and minerals. Not only is it a delight simply to soak in, it heals, rejuvenates, and nourishes.
