Bookings for the Blue Lagoon eclipse event will open in August 2025.

All BL Club members can book their admission a day sooner, so make sure you sign up for a chance to spend a once-in-a-lifetime moment with us! Spaces will be extremely limited to allow for a memorable experience.

Prepare for the total eclipse

Iceland hasn’t seen a total solar eclipse since 1954, and won't see one again until June 26, 2196. In fact, for the first time ever, we are directly in the path of totality—surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Don't miss this truly unique opportunity of a lifetime.

We have gathered all the information you need to make the most of this special moment. Prepare by learning about the eclipse, finding the best spot to view it (hint: Blue Lagoon is ideally located), and gathering your viewing tribe.

All you need to know

Iceland will be in the path of totality—meaning that the westernmost parts of Iceland will experience a total eclipse, while other parts will experience a partial eclipse, which is also spectacular.

Special viewing glasses for watching the eclipse, will be included in your admission package.
You can bring your smartphone into the lagoon if you wish to photograph the event, and we recommend using a waterproof casing. You can also just relax and enjoy the moment!

For more information on how to photograph an eclipse, we recommend this guide or this guide. For smartphones, key points include to switch off the flash, avoid zooming in (which lowers the resolution), using burst mode to capture a lot of images, and lock the focus.
